CbB bug? Won't accept custom path for CWP files or audio files

CbB version 1 has a bug. The reason I'm still using this version is because the last update I installed was crashing, so I went back to version 1. So I'd like to know if this bug is present in the latest version, if so I'll do a bug report.

Here's the bug

When I open CbB, I have it opening to my custom template. If it turns out that I'm starting a new song, then I won't go through the procedure of choosing NEW project and filling in all the details and then wait until my numerous soft synths to load.

I instead hit save and in the window I fill in the song title, folder for the CWP file and the folder for the audio files. With every version of SPlat this works fine, yet with CbB it ignores my custom path for my CWP file and my custom path for my audio files. It simply uses the defaults for these.

Is this bug in the latest version?

Can anyone verify this is happening with the latest version?

    How old is the template?

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

I think I redid it from scratch about 2 years ago. With every version of Platinum it's worked fine and hasn't disregarded my custom CWP path and audio file path. This on happens when I first open CbB. I have it opening to my custom template by default and if I simply hit "save" then I get a window where I can fill in the CWP name and paths. Every time I choose File/New and create a new song this way it works fine.

I think the only way someone can test this is to change CbB to open to a template, then close and reopen it to test it out. I save my audio files to my D drive and all my CWP files to the same custom folder on my E drive

Thanks for checking this out Craig. If it works fine for you, let me know which version of CbB you're using. It's it's the latest then I suppose this bug is fixed.

I believe this started with Platinum 2017-10. Until this changes, instead of using the start screen to create new projects use the File > New dialog from the main menu.

That's what I've been doing. Do you think I should report it as a bug? Or do they already know?
