Celemony Melodyne Essential
I recently installed this in 64 bit X1D PE Expanded. Using it as a VST plug as opposed to the standalone. I have watched the tutorials and read the manual. I can not get the program navigation (play, scrub, loop..etc) to work at all. I understand that it uses the host controls when the host is running, but this is when Sonar is stopped. Ideas?

This may be too obvious, or outdated, but Melodyne used to require being defined as a Tempo based plugin in the Plugin Manager in order to work. I don't remember how it was, did it work at all or only lamely if this setting wasn't on.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Yeah.. I have it set as a tempo based plug. After spending some time on the Celemony forum, it appears that this is just one of many issues the plug has in Sonar X1D. Fortunately, this was on sale for dirt cheap so it is no big deal. I'm just a bit dissapointed that the program works so poorly in Sonar.

That may be a problem with Essential. I have "Editor" or whatever it's called now and since Version 2.x it's pretty flawless in SONAR X1D Expanded. Maybe that's what the extra cost is for?

yep, I can't get it to work either. actually, the 32bit version worked thru bitbridge, but I haven't gone back to it to find out if it still does, but the 64bit behaves exactly like you describe.

I have Essential and it works for me as a plugin in 64 bit Sonar X1 Expanded. Just hit the transfer button and play the track and it shows up in Essential for me.

I don't think we said that part didn't work. it's the scrub tool, loop, play that don't work correctly. it will transfer, and you can edit, but on my system, the 64bit won't play without playing the host.
