Chance of an Earlier Release?

As a member of the great unwashed masses who didn't receive the opportunity to get Sonar before the 'release date', it's frustrating and it seems unfair, especially when we come here and read the comments from all the people who have. To be honest it makes you feel like a second class customer. I can't remember Cakewalk ever doing this before, it's always been released for all when it was released. It might be a way to ensure the servers don't fall over on the first day, I have no idea, but it sucks not to have been 'chosen'.
Is there any chance the pre-orders might be released sooner rather than later?

Life's tough. I felt the same until I got the email yesterday. I'd even pre ordered with Sweetwater.

But I dare say it will give them a chance to uncover any show stoppers and just check all delivery systems in the real world and maybe polish things up from feedback by the "lucky" and I say lucky because it's supposed to be random so don't take it personal.

It is building excitement though as you say, you're feeling left out. Anticipation I think which is what o was feeling until I got the email. I'd resolved myself to not getting it then I had the hassle of cancelling an order which I don't like to do, but I just had to get Soanr then and there.

    Hang in there.

I think it's all about rolling out a totally new and complex system with a bunch of moving parts they've been working on for at least a year to a limited number of customers, so that any issues can be contained before getting out of control. We've already had an issue with the wrong version of the Amp Sims being released but at this point, only 200 people are inconvenienced instead of thousands.

It sure seems, though, that by and large the rollout is much smoother than expected. If things keep going in this direction, who knows, maybe they'll figure it's ready for prime time.

See that, knowing I'm only one of 200 doesn't make me feel that special after all.

Whilst I have found Platinum to be a rather rad release! Technically we are kinda the extended test bunnies...

But I'm on your side. This release is b*tchin'!

I say release the hounds! I mean, release the sounds!!!
