Change Octave in Sonar 8.5 (keyboard issue)

Hello all!

So my question is this: is there a way to change or maybe even trick Sonar into thinking that a note I play on my keyboard (korg triton, using it as a controller), will be played an octave higher or lower than it actually is?  So that when it receives, say a C5 it will automatically transpose that to a C4 when I am playing a VST instrument?

Several keys on the lower register are broken, and I can't get them fixed right now or can just buy a new keyboard - it is out of the question.  So this would be a temp. fix.

Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks!

Im sure the Triton has an octave transpose function. Use that, or semitone transpose -12.

You could also Process > Transpose -12 after you have recorded in Sonar.

I tried the transpose function in the Triton and it only transposes locally (i.e., the sounds inside the keyboard).  And the thing is I am playing the VST live from Sonar and not recording any MIDI so I need Sonar (or the VST) to receive the MIDI notes transposed live.  Any other ideas?

    Thanks for the response!

Right click on the midi track icon and select track properties. Change the KEY number up or down by 12. That should do it.
