Change Sampletank sounds/data folder to a different drive
I know I can put any Sampletank type of sounds (Soniksynth2, SampleMoog, etc) in one folder, and use ST as the main GUI. Is there an easy way to have ST look for all those sounds, but on a different drive? I want to get every data type of folder I have on the 2nd hard drive. I used to have most of my plugins setup like that, but not ST, and I had to setup everything again from scratch with a newer PC just recently. Thanks in advance -Rob

You can choose the location of your Sampletank instruments by clicking on the prefs button (I think, or it may be config - not at my DAW at the moment). Just try copying your whole sampletank samples (including the instruments and the other folders) to your other drive and point Sampletank there.

The only catch is that SampleTank wants everything under one common root directory. There is no provision for multiple file locations. Whatever directory structure you implement is how the instruments will be displayed in ST's browser, so you do have some organizational flexibility. You may have to click on "Relist" after the change, to refresh the list. Be sure to turn the "Relist on startup" option OFF afterward, so that it won't repopulate the list every time you load the instrument.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

I will try that when I get home after work.

I will copy the folder over (leaving all the original files/folders intact just in case) , and then point to the other drive and try "relist" like you mentioned.
