Change how x-ray and vst's behave Dual monitor w/floating MultiDoc

Actually this behavior has been st same throughout the x series IIRC.
I use 2 monitors and I normally un-dock the Multi-Dock window and place it on the second monitor. If I open a vst or other plugin that floats above the Multi-Doc and click on the CV or any of the other docked views the plugin disappears behind the Multi-Dock and I either have to click on the icon to open it again or minimize the Multi-Doc to get to it.

To me this seems like a situation tailor made for X-Ray except if I hide the plug with X-ray it still disappears behind the Multi-dock.

This is not how it behaves when the plug is over the main Splat window. Instead the plugin stays on top of the window and I either need to use x-ray, close the plug or move it out of the way if I want to get to something underneath.

This leads me to think that I need to request that

1): The Multi-Dock behave the same as the main window when it is undocked or,

2): Have the option to dock the multi-dock on the right side of the main window. Currently it will only dock at the top or the bottom. If it would dock at the side I could manually drag the main window across both screens and slide the division to the center so to effectively split the view across the 2 monitors.

Either if these would "fix" the issue with x-ray and the floating Multi-Doc.

I've done a little coding in my time and I believe this is because the floating windows have the same level of importance and the floating Multi-Doc so when the Multidoc is selected it moves to the front. This is how individual programs behave as well so the first request could be a bit tricky.

Honestly either will make me an several others happy me thinks.

Guys please vote on this if you think this is of value.

I'm not sure because I don't do this but if you stretch the whole Sonar window across the 2 displays this will work as it does on the first monitor. Then you lose other functionality.

yes if you streatch sonar across both monitors it will behave if you do not have any floating windows. If you float any views then the last selected window, plugin or other view will be moved to the front.
If not other views are floating x-ray will behave correctly.

However if the console is docked then it will be at the top or hte bottom and you can't split the view between the monitors.

This is not a show stopper but can get in the way if trying to move quickly.

Not at my computer at the moment but:
My next experiment will be to stretch the screen across two monitors then float the Multidock so that it covers track view only in the right monitor and see what behaviour I can get out of everything that way. It will make the Inspector and Browser awkward I reckon as currently I have Inspector far left and Browser at the right edge of my first monitor.

Ive tried this and any x-ray plugs or open plugs on the second monitor will loose focus and drop behind the floating Multidock.

AFAICT it behaves that way for any floating window.
