Changing Loop Construction defaults?

Is there any way to change defaults in Loop Construction View?
 
Whenever I double click on a newly imported clip to open Loop Construction View I then have to change the slice default size from 1/8th to 1/16th. Is there any way of changing the default value to 1/16th?
 
Also, why can I not just click on the Loop button to enable looping after importing a clip? That would be logical. Instead, I always have to click on the Clip menu, then another click to tick Loop On.

This is such an oversight... it seems like this part of Sonar has been completely forgotten by the bakers which is a shame.
 
I've been using it for years. It's really great for working with drum loops. 1/16ths work best for that.
 
It would be great if the slice size stayed the same in a project after adjusting it in the first imported clip. It would be even better to have it saved with the project.
 
The whole process becomes tiresome after importing five or more clips.
 
Ctrl+L is handy, but I still have to go to the Loop Construction View to adjust the slice size. With the slice size set in the project to 1/16th, all I'd have to do would be to hit Ctrl+L after importing a clip and voila, I'd be ready to go without even opening the Loop View. That's why the 1/8th default setting is so annoying to me.

AndertonI suspect not that many people use the LCV, which is a shame because it does so much more than I think most people realize...

My other use of it is to determine the tempo of an audio file. Back in the day when I was playing in cover bands and had to learn songs quickly I used  the LCV for that.
 
Rip a song off youtube, import the wav file into Sonar. Isolate 1,2 or 4 measures by ear by splitting the imported .wav file. Apply trimming on the isolated clip, then hit Ctrl+L to enable groove looping and open the Loop Construction View. Adjust the number of beats if the clip.
The BPM of the clip is displayed in the LCV, all you have to do now is to adjust the tempo of the project.
 
If you did a decent job with isolating those measures and the clip loops properly you should have the exact BPM of the song. Manually remove silence from the beginning of the song, so the audio starts at 1:00:000
 
Now you can snap to grid and loop the verse/chorus/whatever.
