Changing a project's bit depth

Ok, I bought a nice shiny Focusrite Scarlet 8i6, which right out of the box is running great in Sonar X1 Studio. I've got my preferences set to work in 24 bit... Creating a new project, everything works fine. But when I load an old project file, that's 16 bit, Sonar outright refuses to play the file until I switch preferences back to 16 bit. Is there a way to convert a 16 bit project to a 24 bit project in Sonar X1? I can't seem to find one.
