Changing midi patches

In Sonar 6 when I right clicked "Patch" button on Midi tracks it opened menu where was all the sounds / patches of my external synth (Yamaha PSR-630). Now I can't find that anymore in Sonar X1 (Instrument Define for PSR-630 is installed). Is the menu removed?

Is there any other way to choose midi patches except choose "Bank" first and then "Patch"? Is there anykind of menu (or something like that) where I could see all patches from all banks at same time?

Welcome to the more "streamlined" and "uncluttered" X1.   The patch browser is now accessed by clicking the button of the same name at the bottom of the Track Inspector (keybinding I).

Not only do you need to import the INS file for your synth but you need to assign it to the synths output.

You can do that by pressing P which brings up the preferences and then you'll see "Instruments" under the MIDI menu.

Once you've assigned the ins file to the output, the patch menu will work. If you don't see your instrument in the right hand side panel list, it hasn't been imported. You can do that by clicking on "Define" and then "Import" in the next window. Navigate to your ins file and select it from the list.

You can also get to the Patch Browser by right clicking the patch widget in the Inspector. Or as Brundlefly says left click on the Patch Browser in the second strip of the Inspector.

Yes I knew that. I have assigned it to synths output. Problem was that I didn't know how the patch browser opens in Sonar X1. But thanks anyway
