Changing midi tempo against wav file imported in wrong tempo
Okay, so I couldn't get my midi controller to monitor in real time triggering trilogy on a complex project with lots of plugs. SO I exported the wav file out and into a new temporary project, tracked the midi bass with the controller with the expextation of just copying the midi part back into the original project. Unfortunately I forgot to set the tempo of the temporary project to the same tempo as my actual project(133) and now when I copy and paste the midi back in to my actual project the timing is off. Apparently even though in the temporary project I was tracking is against the wave file that is still "sounding" 133bpm (even though the project was default to 120bpm,the wave file is not stretched in any way when you import it) my midi track is recorded into a 120bpm context. The problem occurs I beleive because when I copy the midi file from the 120bpm project to the actual 133bpm project it will not line it up correctly or stretch it automatically.
I have tried:
1)Turning off the tempo checkbox on copy dialog and on import dialog when copying the midi file
2)I have tried changing the tempo on the temporary project to 133 then copying and pasting into the actual project(120bpm) but it is still way off.
I hope I am explaining this clearly. Any ideas how I can get this thing to sync when copying the midi back in?
