Changing start times? any help please? :)

Hey guys

Im just working on a song and decided it sounds better without the long intro i had for it. So i deleted the intro part. But now when i highlight the whole project and try and move it across to start at the first bar it wont let me??? anyway i cant move all of the tracks to start at the first bar ?

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Zeano!

Maybe if you copy the song to another track ,you could change the start time.

    It's just an idea.

Thanks for the idea....but not wuite sure what you mean? copy the whole song to another track? the song has 24 tracks in it? im new to sonar tho so probably sounding really newbie :)

Is there just no way i could put a marker in and it would start from that point or something?

    Thanks in advance! Zeano!

instead of selecting "all", highligt allthe tracks and then JUST THE REGION WHERE THE REMAINING DATA IS.     then it should slide left.  youcould also right click lasso the clips to do this

Instead of sliding, select the bars that you want removing, hit delete and tick the option "delete hole".

Another option is after you have selected all the tracks and the desired region is to hold cnt alt and X to cut, then you can select the markers, automation, tempo changes etc

    paste to replace....

Yes, any solution that only involves sliding the clips will NOT slide your markers, tempo changes, key/meter changes, automation etc, so you'll end up in a complete mess.

Either use the "Delete Hole" method, or the one outlined by Sixfinger above.
