Changing the Time signature for Sonar X1 Audio Library>Loopmasters

Hi all,
I found some really good drum loops from sonar x1 loopsmasters in the audio library section and I want to use them for this project I am composing too, but I want to slow it down.  My problem is when I do that the movie that I am composing too shifts and becomes out of sync with the rest of the score that I've done.  Is there anyway to isolate just that Audio Loop and slow it down so it doesn't effect the rest of the project's tempo?

Odd. The loopmasters loops should automatically match the project tempo when you drag them in.

That's what I don't want it to do.  Is there anyway to not match the project tempo??  For example my main project tempo is at 120 bpm in a section, but the drum loop I want sounds to busy at that tempo.  Is there anyway to not match the main tempo??

When you insert the loop, click on it to select it, then open up the inspector, click on Clip on the top and uncheck "looping", it should stop it from following the projects tempo

I can't change the Orig. Tempo of the loop either.  Do i need to bounce to clip first?

ok.. I buy my loopmasters stuff DIRECT from loopmasters, so can't comment if you have RX2 format versions ?

why not use RXP... and drag the midi into you arrangement.. they'll be good for hhmm +30 and -30 bpm I guess..

Dim pro has that functionality and so does Dropzone IRC.

there is the option to also not match the loop to projects tempo as well, IF you don't want to use the Midi groove of the loop.. BUT the advantage of it is that you can do variants of the same small loop

Don't the loops tell you what tempo they were recorded at?

    @mgrisan1

Let me clarify, when you insert the loop into the project, click on it to select it. In the inspector on the left side, there is a clip button to click (near the top, inbetween Track and ProChannel).

Click on clip, then click on Groove clip, it will shift up a menu and you should see the checkbox for "Looping"

So the tempo you have for that part of the project doesn't match any existing music and you are trying to insert music without having a proper tempo? Groove-looping will not work right in that scenario.

If there is no way to correct the project tempo to match your needs, you can s-t-r-e-t-c-h the audio clip to some desired length / tempo. Turn off groove for that clip and do a slip-stretch. (See slip-stretch in the manual, basically ctrl-dragging the end of a clip.) When you have it the length you want it, you can bounce it down. Then instead of looping, you can make multiple copies of it.

It was my understanding of the OP problem was that he had a loop of a drumpart and he wanted to insert it and NOT have it match the current projects tempo. I guess he wanted to retain the original tempo that the loop was recorded at

@Eternal85 That's excatly what I want to do.  When you preview the loop in the Audio Library on the right, the tempo that it's playing at is the tempo that I want.  But when I drag it into my project it plays back at 120 bpm which is the projects tempo.  I just want it to play at the tempo that it's orginally previewing at.  I also found the clip option and disabled looping, there's an option that says original tempo 70.6.  That's what I want the loop to play at but it won't play at the original tempo, and disabled looping didn't seem to work.  If you can, you can try it and see what im talking about.  It's Loopmasters>House Techno Trance>A Guy called Gerald>GCG_116_DrumLoop_6

@bvideo I'll Try the Audio Stretching, But it just seems like  You should just be able to drag the loop from loopmasters and put the tempo of that loop to whatever you want or have it match the original tempo it was made to sound best at.

You can make it the original tempo. Just turn off Groove Clip Looping for that clip. Either use the Inspector or hit CTRL-L on the loop. It will then play at its original tempo. Otherwise it follows the project tempo (as all loops do). If you need some tempo other than the project tempo or the original tempo, then you should probably use AudioSnap, or CTRL-Drag the edge of the clip to stretch it to the desired length. If you use AudioSnap or stretching where you have the option to set the render algorithm, you may want to use "Percussion" as it will likely sound best with a drum loop.

Once you get it right, you can also "bounce to clip" using the desired algorithm.

@Brandon Ryan Im sorry, I must be doing something wrong, unchecking the groove clip "looping" is not making it the original tempo, the loop is still playing at 120 bpm when I drag it into the project.  I've continued scoring the film but it would be nice to be able to ge this working.
