Channel / Pro-channel FX chain ( SOLVED )

After i upgraded to X3d Studio, i got the pro-channel.

I noticed when using Pro-Channel, that it's after the ( main ) channel FX bin.

It is in this order:

1. Main Channel ( FX Bin )
2. Pro-channel
3. BUS or Master

If i using the pro-Channel and it get peak's in the main channel FX bin, it wont help to insert an limiter there.

So i guess i need to get the  Pro-Channel Concrete Limiter, to solve this
as the pro-channel is last, before going to a BUS or main Master.

I was not aware of this since, i did not had Pro-Channel before in X1.

need to re-think the way i put the plugins in order now ;-)

Another thing i noticed is that the saturation from SoftTube do not have any
( output compensation) when you crank it, the output level will rise too.
There should be an option in it like satson channel / BUS have, to compensate for it.

Other than that, pro-channel is superb very nice sounding and a great EQ, it will be easier to mix now.
Happy to have the pro-channel, how could i live without it !

Here is the link to the Sonar X3 signal path diagram - won't help too much, but it helps a little.

Thank's a lot, solved it, i had to un-check the ( Post Fx bin ) in pro-channel
Now limiter works in the channel FX bin, as the last plugin ;-)

Thanks for the info.

The ProChannel can be before or after the FX bin. Regular effects can go in the ProChannel too, just drag and drop them into the ProChannel and they will automatically be placed into an FX Chain wrapper.

Got it now, just learned something today also.

A general question ?  What is most common how all of you
set up your Pro-channel chain, what comes first and last usually ?

My short FX chain, would probably be :

1. EQ ( subtractive )
2. Compressor
3. Coloring EQ
4. Saturation ( if needed )
5. Limiter

( EDIT: i may change 1 and 2, depending on how the sound work the compressor )
