Hey what's up Trucker!

Well, of course man... Once the record is done (the music is ready, all we need to do now is to reproduce the cd and print booklets and stuff) I'll make sure you get one. Send me your P.O. Box address (work or home, whatever you prefer) and I'll send you a freshly made one!

It's true, it takes a lot of time, money, and thinking about the project 100% of the time sometimes makes it hard to combine with the other aspects of our lives, like our regular jobs, relationships and stuff. But it will all be worth it once the final product is in our hands, don't you think?

Good luck to anyone that is also putting all ther efforts into recording something of their own!

ORIGINAL: Truckermusic

Well you deserve it......you guys played your heart and souls out.........it's weird but you never know how much really goes into making a work (music and viedo) untill you are the one trying and then you realize how much it takes.............great job guys........................oh...and if you want to give them cd's out.......yeah I'll be happy to take one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I'll make every one of my freinds LISTEN!

Sounds to me like the vocals are TOO "ontop" of the mix. Try thickening them up and making them work with the rest of the mix better. BUT on to the positive...the vocals are GREAT talent wise.

Erm, tried to find fault with this, but the only thing I could come up with was that at one point it was probably Zubversiva, and someone made a typo. Tsk.

Too good. Very '80s in a way, and maybe you could hope for the singer sounding a bit more 'emotional' live, this is very 'studio'.

Hi UcoVi!

Yeah, I also think that the vocals are on top of the mix. It had to do with the positioning of the instruments on the pro tools set... I'm not familiar with the terminology but it had to do with the dimensions and stuff. We recorded the album in two different sessions, so we're hoping that the final mastering and mixing will make them sound more homogenous, because the mix on the newest songs sounds much better.

Thanks for the compliment and taking the time to check it out!

Thanks Roflcopter!

Well, the correct word is Subversive, and Subversiva in Spanish... and yeah we played with the words because we liked the logo better with a Z than with an S.

This is our logo.

Yeah, we've been told that it sounds 90's as well... We're all in our late twenties/early thrities, so I guess there's a connection there hehe...

Yeah of course, we used lip sync... and live it definitely needs more strenght to deliver the message.

Thanks for the comment dude! Very appreciated

Long time no read!
We've finally released the record! Zubersiva's debut album has 10 tracks.
"Busy" was the first single... and we're about to start shooting the video for the second single.

If any of you guys are interested in getting an original copy, shoot me an e-mail...

And by the way, we're participating in a contest to try and play at the Austin City Limits festival, along with big names such as Robert Plant, Foo Fighters, Beck, Flyleaf, The Raconteurs, The Mars Volta, Manu Chao, Hot Chip and many more!

If you'd like to help out, you can vote here, I will appreciate it!

RE: Check out my song please! 2008/08/06 22:40:42 (permalink)
I thought it sounded great with a few exceptions. I don't like big production introductions like videos on a first "HELLO" kinda thing though.

This song could be so much better with backup singers on the chorus, harmonies and such on the RUN AWAY - parts IMO.

This needs more vocalist in it, as for the mix, this is a U-Tube video song so it doesn't mean anything as far as a final "CD" "MP3" "MP4 APPLE IPOD", kinda hearing thing. JMO......

I'll be honest as I always am - "This needs HARMONIES with the Vocals on the Chorus". It's weak and the lead vocals just "Can't carry the whole tune on the chorus". The lead vocals sound great, don't get me wrong, but there is a serious need for some backup vocals on the chorus.

I've said my two cents worth so flame on at me if you wish!

Hey Freeze1st!

Thanks a lot for the two cents! It's always great to get feedback... And to tell you the truith, I agree with you.

We have actually added backing vocals in the chorus since about 5 months ago... and we like the way it sounds... Although the keyboards player is still a bit shy about it, he's getting better LOL!

This is an extract from the show we opened for Ratt here in Monterrey. The sound is not the best because the video was recorded with a digital camera, but tell me if you like the arrangements:
"Busy" (live opening for Ratt)

Thanks a lot man, I do appreciate it!

RE: Check out my song please! 2009/01/15 10:55:29 (permalink)
Hey guys!

I hope you had a great holiday with your loved ones! It's been a while since I was here on the forum, so it's good to be back... Last year was awesome and insanely busy for the band, but this 2009 we're starting over and doing what we didn't do last year - plan stuff ahead!

The record was released in July and it's currently being sold in local stores down here in Monterrey, Mexico, as well as online at www.amazon.com, www.cdbaby.com, and www.target.com . However, we decided that the best thing to do is to let everyone download the tracks for free so we can reach more people, and if anyone would like to buy the record to support us, that would rock, but it's your call.

So if you guys are still interested, you can download most songs from the album at these two myspace sites:

http://www.myspace.com/zubersiva (5 songs)
http://www.myspace.com/poncheves (4 songs and 1 "home made demo" of another song)

We didn't get to shoot that second video, because we ran out of money LOL! But anyway, we played a bunch of gigs, and this year we'll be visiting the United States back and forth, starting with the state of Texas in March. Hope I get to see some of you someday and share some beers!

Anyway, I just re-read all of the comments on the thread and I really can't put into words how thankful I am. You guys are awesome and too cool!

YOU ROCK!

The drummer was my favorite! He was so animated. The song could've definitely used some backups at the chorus. Cool vid!

Hey thanks a lot Tap, Venus and mstodge!

If you liked it, download the whole album for free and tell a friend! Hahaha...

I uploaded another song to our myspace today, "I Know", which is more of a grunge kind of thing - the second loudest track on the record.

Anyway, thanks again for all your messages!

It seems that the myspace download feature isn't working, so check out this link instead:

http://apps.facebook.com/ilike/artist/Zubersiva/

You can download all the tracks by clicking on the "Free MP3" link on each song.

It is a facebook link but you don't need to have a facebook account so enter it. If it doesn't display the page, copy and paste the link into another browser window

Oh and one more thing, if you want to add me on facebook, you can do so by searching poncheves @ hotmail. com

Thanks again!
