I aint hearing what ya'all are on yer fancy pants $3000 dollar studio monitors :)

Whatever, Zep.

All I know is that we have done many commercial release-quality mixes with our fancy pants studio monitors and have never received any complaints from anyone yet. So, they must be fairly accurate sounding, huh?!

But you are entitled to your opinion, as we are ours.

well well well, looks like a band has broken up and cares not what happens to their files

if someone can host them we might have some fun!

If the mixes come out good enough maybe we can glue the band back together

I HATE when bands break up anywhere near recording time

Not to be an a..hole, but have you listened to your own mixes? Need to learn how to EQ... before you judge others. And yes, I was listening to your stuff through my cheap computer speakers (since that's how most people listen to music on the net )

This thread is old and by now worn out. I don't use cakewalk and have never been here but just had to register so I could reply to this thread. zepo1a....not to be mean spirited but man go buy some speakers...lol.

For a live recorded show....mixed with the same settings in an hour...it sounds pretty awesome. I'd buy it AND pay for the sessions and Ed to mix it. What I wouldn't buy is 4 track cassette songs from sound click

I think so.

Okay zep, let's back up. I am Ed Rei, a.k.a. sonusman (you might find me as Mosfet, UB802, and Sound Cracker). I am too lazy to put back up my personal website, http://www.sonusman.com , but it is "parked" at the website of the live sound company I have worked for for many years, http://www.phoenixlightandsound.com .

Aaron Carey, a.k.a. pipelineaudio. This guy has recorded, errrrrrrrrrr, a few big time guys and gals. Just so you can figure out that him and I are different guys, go to http://www.recordingproject.com/articles/article.php?article=23 and read this interview I did of him. Hey, it even has pictures of BOTH of us. There is a link to the website of the studio he works at there too. Oh, a Vegas using trader who "could" be persuaded to come over to the good side somehow! :)

Vance Dylan, a.k.a. Sonic Valley? What a guy! :) he is being modest not spamming his website all over his signature here! http://www.sonicvalley.com He is a trader and uses Nuendo. I don't hold it against him. Vance is also a moderator who for some reason tries not to kick me off of audioforums.com .

Mr.Q is just Mr.Q. :) He is my brotha from anotha motha. You can find him spamming the 2005 JamFest over at homerecording.com and recordingproject.com . He DOES had impeccable tastes in funk though! :) Probaby why I like him!!!

So, everybody has their bio's in order now.

I find it very puzzling that anyone who lacks sutiable material for review would even offer up an opinion. I also find it strange that anyone WITH suitable material for review would take such comments seriously. It's so easy to coach from the stands.

Zepo1a,
You may want to spend more time writing and recording and less time reading about and listening to the music of those who do. It's a wild, wonderful, crazy world out there and we should all be grateful that we have the fortune to be able to do what we love.

Peace, love and understanding,

DD
