gswitz I just love that Craig Anderton is the Chief Magic Officer. I would love it a lot more if it said Vice President in Charge of Software Development. The press releases about Mr. Anderton's position at Gibson are way too cute, and leave me to wonder if he is anything more than a public persona hired to make the company look good.

I've always kind of liked the way Gibson's look.

Well, they've always been a company with a lot of dead wood though...

Personally, I think it's tremendously fun and self effacing. I want to a be a magic officer someday too!

I too thought it was a little slow and sounded like a commercial for Gibson equipment. I stuck with it and ended up enjoying it. I even took some notes on the advice he gave on mixing. As far as being slow, I think he was talking slower and more deliberate because he was talking to a non native English speaking audience. I think he did a great job. I have heard him do a talk live once and he was going a mile a minute so kudos to him for applying some restraint. I liked his thoughts on how the brain works and how tools can help us, or sometimes get in the way of, making music. Not that what he was saying was ground breaking, because we all have face this issue ;) but it is an interesting thought and glad someone of his new position is thinking about. I thought the questions the audience asked were very good, as well as is answers. He didn't always exactly answer what they were asking but given that he was answering these on the fly I thought he did well. That is my opinion, anyway.
