Choppy Sound

Hey everyone! When I listen to my recordings in Sonar through my interface the sound is really choppy. I've un/reinstalled both the studio and the interface, but to no avail. When I listen to the tracks via the computer's built in soundcard it plays fine. I have no idea what is up with this. I'm not incredibly computer savy which is really working against me.

I'm using windows 7 64 bit, Sonar 8, and for interfaces I use M-audio fasttrack and Cakewalk UA-25ex (the latter won't show up anymore). I've tried multiple usb cables and different usb ports as well.

Any help would be appreciated!!

    Welcome to the forum!

I wonder how your soundcard driver settings are in the Options-dialogue.
Messing with many soundcards usually means trouble.

Use either the UA-25 orr the Fast Track and only select one as the Playback and Recording timing master, and only select its  Input/output drivers.

Make sure you have the latest ASIO drivers for the card you choose to use. And note, that ASIO4ALL is NOT an ASIO driver, get the real ones.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Thanks a ton Kalle! I think it was the drivers! I feel somewhat silly for not thinking of that, but I'm glad it seems to be fixed now!

Good to know about the multiple soundcards being a potential problem!

    Thanks again!
