Cisco adapter and windows 8

anybody had issues connecting to the internet with the windows 8 machine and a Cisco adapter? I plugged in the adapter it's there in USB devices but when I click the button it says no networks available. I turned off the router and turned it back on and still nothing. Amazon Prime video works and the wifi in my droid works but the computer doesn't see anything.

I would have guessed there would be drivers for that in Windows 8 no?

    Hi Steve,

Look in Device Manager.  (I put a short-cut to Control Panel on the TaskBar)
You likely need to load the Win8 driver.

Thanks it was listed under PC settings devices but I needed to open it and run the setup which is installed on the adapter itself. It was being seen as a USB storage device...

then I need to buy a new studio desk the computer stand I've been usimg won't hold this big monitor. You were right sir is touch screen is kinda fun...
