Civility sneaks back in when no one is looking

Seeing as how things are a little slow this morning in the Coffee House (and I don't just mean me), I did something I told myself I would not do.  I took a quick peak upstairs.  I read a few threads.

Somehow, when no was paying attention, a sense of civility appears to have crept cautiously back into the attic.  People were polite to one another, questions and comments were given and received well, and it was as though someone had taken some industrial strength Febreeze and a fistfull of authentic "pine-scented" air fresheners up there.

I'm not saying it's safe to come out of hiding yet, but it appears that civility may have returned.  For Good?

One can hope.

Needless to say, I got out of there before my illusiion could be shattered.  Sha-do-be.

no, the hate is still there, it's just buried better and not in the thread titles.

Maybe I should send my stunt double up to have a look?

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

The Coffee House IS all there is, the other forums are but an imperfect reflection of the virtues found here.   (Shovel, please....)
