Clarifications about Octa Capture

Hi Folks,

Just an enquiry about Octa Capture. When I use my EMU card, I plug in the left and right output from my KORG synthersizer to the '1L'and 1R' 1/4 inch inputs at the rear of the microdock. When I then record the synthersizer in Sonar,it's recorded as stero. Now can I replicate the same thing with Octa Capture? I downloaded and looked at the manuals for Octa Capture and I don't see a 1L 1R kind of input where I can plug in the left and right output from the KORG, how than do I record the
keyboard as stereo? Can I plug in the left out to a  XLR/Quarter inch and the right out to another and than configure a track in Sonar to accept the inputs from both these separate inputs so that it will end up as stero?

Another question. Is the Octa Capture designed mainly for drum recording? Cos I am a keyboard player mainly and I heavily depend on Midi. I understand Octa Capture has Midi in and out, but how is the latency like? The way I used to do things with my E-MU 1616 was, let's say I need some string tone from Korg, I will setup a midi track in Sonar and with the help of intrument definition files, I will select the exact tone I need from Korg. I will than record the piece as a Midi track. I will than set up and arm an audio track. I will playback the recorded Midi file, it will playback via my Korg with the tone I selected. This 'playback'via KORG is than recorded onto the audio track I set up earlier. I know this way of recording sounds long winded, but I have too as I think having a 'midi'version of a track will help greatly in editing. Will Octa Capture be able to handle this kind of data transfer well? I hope someone can advise. Thanks.
