Classic Eagles Tune :-)

Did this one this afternoon. I sat down to record the guitar? And discovered that I could not keep up :-(

So I'm flying like an Eagle... It's mostly my vox overlaid on a part by Frey with the guitar in there for timing. But I sang all of the parts :-) It was a little bit of a bear? I think it's Schmidt that has some nadless mezo soprano part going on up there in the stratosphere, but I cloned it/sang it. The easiest part for me is Henley, because I can channel him.

At the top, called "Seven."

For the most part, it's a tribute version, there are a couple of places where I stray a little.

    There are classic songs?

This is one... You can disagree with me? Many do? But this tune... Well? It's a classic. And I did it justice.

Hereby Hancock :-) It took me a few takes before I realized what you were saying (with the counting?) Actually, the reason I did that is because they did a live version of it? And it was difficult for me be know "where to come in?" And I still enjoyed the pooch a bit even with my counts?

The good news is, Mr. No999 has offered to do the acoustic? :-) I can play guitar, and have some nice ones? But I couldn't keep up with the pace... Mark is a much better guitarist than me, or for that matter "most..." Mark is a very talented guitarist, and one of the mix masters IMO... I'm glad he lets me sing on some of his shiz :-)

If I can get his guit tracks, I'll repost "W/O" the counting, and without CSN, just me and Mr. no999.

Bert, Allen, and Scotty, thanks very much. I wanted to play the guitar but couldn't keep up. Mr. No999 said he would take a stab at it, and he is a very accomplished guitar player (I'm not worthy.) So I may post a proper mix at a later date, without them boys from the Hotel California ;-)

My favorite feature on the forum is the ability to block members who are either potentially offensive? Or who drone on and on about whatever? Life is too short to see anything other than the little highlighted banner saying "blocked member" Thank you Forum Admins for this functionality!! It makes it SO much more enjoyable to sift past the objectionable, offensive, or provocative material? And therefore, makes the site in general, much better.

    -------------Rant on
What is hilarious to me is that 1 or two people multiply and make themselves appear as a larger audience :-) And as such attempt to cause a stink in different ways? I know others dismiss this, and believe it does not happen? But if you know even a little about the Internet, and how it works? It is virtually impossible for it not to happen?

If you think intelligently about the resources of the Internet? You would have to be someone who doesn't understand the capability to simply dismiss the prospect on its face. (it happens... I won't name names, but if you think it doesn't happen? Then you think the US doesn't keep track of this and every other conversation on the Net...) And maybe believe in the tooth fairy?

Use that "Block Member" feature... Use it liberally? I use it because, a) many only post and self promote and "literally never" comment? That's the main reason. Others may provide what you may consider "noise?" There are many reasons to use this feature. Please use this feature more often? Start today?
    ------------Rant off

We've (mark and I) been working on another for several months now and I'm really hoping he can put it up soon. It's a very ambitious project... For me it will probably be some long overdue remixes for a while, of older stuff which was not done as well as it should have been. But new originals, and covers that fit pop up when you least expect them :-)

Fabulous vocals!  You got Henley down so well.  Great tone / great resonance.  I see what you mean about the guitar part.  That stuff is not easy.  But the vocals are amazing on this tune - well arranged and performed!

Sounded pretty good, A well known song by a well known band. No doubt your becoming the cover King of the Cake forums. Especially with that Don Henley knock off imitation. Who was that on guitar : Steve S. ?

Oh well, sorry I can't see you anymore, or that other USER, something seems to be BLOCKING the two of you from my view.

Mister Geno, many thanks "and much respect..." Thank you so much :-) I work on that whole Henley thing :-D

It's my schtick... I do my own vox, and can cover others as well. But Mr. Henley seems to be right there in my wheelhouse.

As for others who I have blocked who feel the need to insult? I wish you well in your endeavors. May you find happiness some day. In the long run? If you can overcome it? Anger is a "very" negative emotion... I understand how powerful it can be? I used to enjoy beating people "physically?" The beatdown... It brings a certain rush? It's not a good thing though, in the long run, nothing good can come of it?

It's not easy to overcome? The whole "Internet beatdown", I'm sure it brings a rush as well? (not the same as breaking someone's arm, and seeing them writhe in agony I assure you.) But your web based in-your-face victories are very satisfying just the same (I'm sure) so I want you all to take a deep breath?

And puff up your puny little chests and let out a sigh of relief in the thought that?

You'll never actually have to back it up :-) (GFY!) Good For You!

Good For You... (it wouldn't end well for you :-( trust me..)

Maybe you can have some of your friends sing the other parts so it sounds nice like this:

I like it best when the other voices sound like other voices... plus the guitar fits in the mix real nice.

    Robby,

My speakers are not working this morning and I'm about to leave for several weeks in Montana fly fishing.  As an old Eagles tribute band member, I'm looking forward to this when I get back, I'm sure it's excellent.

I'm glad everyone liked it. I hope to get the Guitar from Mr. No999 this week? I've polished the vox a bit more, and I hope to be able to approximate the crowd noise. Basically it will be Mark and I w/out the Eagles. Hopefully this week.
