Clean Jazz'ish Clip

I got a PM from a member couple days ago asking if the V-Amp Pro had any good clean tones.................

So I am posting this fairly clean jazz guitar piece.............

It is a very basic clip.............

This was not written by me.......it is a guitar lesson backing track with me playing guitar over it.............

I am playing only the lead parts...........

This clip is only to demonstrate some direct recorded clean electric guitar............

I feel the tone is convincing enough for demo purposes.........

What do you think...............?

This was recorded quickly using .......

2001 Gibson LP Special SL using only the neck pick up.......which is a 490R.......

V-Amp Pro....................

XENYX 2442FX................

AP24/96..............

SHS4.............

SF Audio Studio9.....................

There are no plug ins on any of the lead guitar...................what you hear is what I played.....................and yep.......the lead is  little to wet.....

MP3 streaming...............

Thanks

Apologies to those whom may have already heard this over in the Hardware Forum.

Guitar sounds good. I like smooth jazz and you've got a smooth groove going on to show off this interesting setting of V-Amp Pro. Not exactly the sound I would probably go for. I might lean towards a basic clean Fender Twin Reverb Amp with that sweet chorus on the guitar.

    MC4 - M-Audio FW410 / Behringer UCA202 - Fender Strat / Jazzmaster / DuoSonic / Washburn / Peavy Foundation M-Audio Radium 49 Roland Juno 106 / JazzChorus / Seymore Duncan Convertible - HP A1230N ( AMD Athalon 3800+ 2G Ram + 200G HD )

    Thanks Tap for the input..............

Your Fender reference interests me....unfortunately I wouldn't likely recognize that sound if it bit me in the.....ass

I have played "Old School" metal and rock most of my years......I just started the jazz/blues thing the first of the year so I'm kinda flying a bit blind..........

But with your input I'll search the web a bit to get a listen to what your saying..........

Any artists or material you could recommend?

I don't have a clue what a V-Amp Pro is, but the guitar sounds great to me.  Great playing too!  :-)

Hi Janet thanks for your reply

A "V-Amp Pro" is a rack mounted guitar amp modeler..........

So basically I plug  my guitar into the "V-Amp Pro".. configure an amp sound that I like .................go out o the "V-Amp Pro into my mixer..then into my computer for direct recording..................

No actual guitar amp is involved..............

There are many brands of hardware amp modelers ...........

And many VST amp modelers ...these work within a host, such as "Sonar"

Oh wow. Gorgeous. Didn't even rattle anything on my dilapidated, blown speakers. Amazing. My own music rattles the heck out of these speakers, and yours was so clear, crisp, and strong.

    Very professional sounding.
