Clip Gain should affect the size of the wav on the clip..

I know that quite a few DAWs do this, and I'd love to see Sonar make visual adjustments to reflect clip gain changes - i.e., more Gain, bigger wav - ideally scaled and calibrated to reflect accurate matching of gains etc.

I hope that makes sense :O)

Ii is my preferred option for waveform size to reflect any changes.  One you understand rms a bit more you learn to be able to edit very well by adjusting waveform sizes in blocks.  Voiceover work is one area it really benefits.  In normal music production you can get very accurate by matching the rms components of waveforms.  It often means less processing later in the production.  Saves on over heavy use of compressors.

It is better that the original waveform levels are actually left alone in the raw recordings and only temporary clip gain changes are shown.

Yes. I've wanted this for a long time.

Sorry, meant to give this five stars.

I do find it odd that such an old and handy feature (for other DAWs) has never made it to Sonar.
