Clip Waiting Room

Often when I am creating, I create clips that might be a drum fill or a bass loop or something else that is really good but doesnt quite fit with the project Im working on and instead of deleting the clip it would be great to drag the clip into a folder (Waiting Room) so that I can use it another day in a different project. It would be great to be able to review these clips independantly of an open project with all the relevant parameters still attached and also have the ability to drag these clips into any open project. This would help me out a lot.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but you can drag a clip from Track View into Windows Explorer (or onto the Desktop) and it creates a WAV file in the destination folder.

Yes Kev999, this is true but dragging onto the desktop doesn't save fx or plugin information so when you drag the clip into another project from the desktop you have to set it all up again. Months later I would be hard pushed to remember what plugin or fx I used on the clip. Kind of defeats the purpose of dragging on to the desktop unless you specifically want the raw audio or raw .mid clip. If the clips were saved within Sonar with all the track, plugin and fx  data attached then you could scroll through and review clips and they would play as they did when you made them.

Bounce before dragging if you want existing effects to be applied.
