Clip drag and drop question!

Lets say I am performing a midi punch record between measures 1-9;how do I drag and drop the complete clip between the measures including any vacant space at the end of the clip? Many times in this scenerio if there is any space at the end of the clip, when I drag and drop the clip into a matrix cell, the small space at the end of the clip is making my matrix cell clip loop off time. When I play the clip back in the track view with the track looping it plays in perfect timing, but if I drag and drop that same clip into a matrix cell it loops off time do to any vacant space at the end of the clip-this is particularly troublesome when I am recording midi drum tracks. Is there a way that I can drag and drop the clip including any small vacant space at the end of clip between measures as in the example given up above?

I think that you can select the clip, select the time range you want the clip to be in the time-ruler at the top. Choose Clips > Bounce to Clips.

Now you should have a clip of the exact length of your selected area. I think you should be able to drag this clip in and have it run the proper length.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I recorded a midi clip the other day and was able to grab the end of it and pull it out to the end of the measure and then turn it into a loop. I was then able to copy/paste/draw out multple loops and it behaved properly.

ok, the above info helped-I was able to grab the end of the clip and extend it to the end of the measure; I have a question though, why is it that once I have dragged and dropped the clip into a column of multiple cells, the timing seems to get more out sink between the multiple cells playing simultaniously each time the cells complete a loop cycle?

Does the beginning of the loop start at the beginning of a measure or is it just close?
