Clip fade-in display distorted by tempo changes

It looks like the display of clip fade-ins is being distorted by, of all things, tempo changes.

Insert tempo changes near the start of an audio clip, then create a fade-in.
Make sure "Display Clip Fade Attenuation" is checked in Preferences/Customization/Display.

The clip fade-in starts at every tempo change, giving a sawtooth effect.
This only seems to affect the display, not the sound, and a bounce gets rid of it.

I know Skyline_UK has seen this happen (see his link to video at post #9 of
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2304114)

Is this a general problem? Anyone else seeing this? If so, I'll report it.

Cheers, Peter.

It's not a problem if it doesn't affect the sound, is it? The waveform display has nothing to do with the actual audio clip; it's just a picture, and never has been an accurate picture of the real waveform. You'll see those quantization steps in the tempo map, too, but they do not result in any audible artifacts either.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

True, not a problem once you know you can ignore it.

I'm not sure what you mean by quantization steps in this context - that's not what I'm seeing. I see the clip fade-in restarting at every tempo event.

    Cheers, Peter.

Ah, I was picturing a stepped curve, which seemed trivial and easily ignored. What you're describing pretty much voids any benefit of visually showing fades at all. (Although I'm not sure what that benefit was to begin with.)

    Hello!
I have completely same problem with Peter.
(Tempo change + Fade-in problem, only affects display)

    I'm using SONAR X2 Producer, x64, X2a build 351

Have you solve this problem ?
If you have any idea to work it properly, Please give me the information.
    Thank you.

I have several instances where a synth pad is also distorted whenever the now marker encounters tempo changes.

So far I haven't managed to find a workaround.

This happens with Dimension Pro, Rapture, Pentagon
