Clip gain automation gets freaky in X1

Oy!

I just started having a problem with a project. It's driving me nuts. In some projects I have sound effects (hip hop track I'm working on) and I've made 3 tracks named FX1, FX2, FX3. I copy the multitudes of samples to these tracks. To modify the sounds I use clip automation while leaving the main tracks at 0dB and center pan.

So this is probably related to having a bunch of clips with automation, but at some point, not sure exactly when, X1 started disobeying the clip gain automation. I created timed dips in some of the samples to let the rapping vox cut through better. It seems like the clip volume would follow the lowest node in the automation. So if the lowest point is -30 dB, the whole clip would be played at -30dB, so forth.

Anyone seen this? I just downloaded the latest quick fix and I'm about to apply it. Normally I stay away from patching anything in the middle of working on a session (specially when it's almost done), but I have to try and fix this. That and the stereo -> mono interleave bug is driving me insane.

Thoughts?! I'll post if the hotfix fixes it. I see that it addresses other clip automation issues.

Can I ask what the Stereo - Mono Interleave bug is ? Is it happening when bounceing by chance ?

    Thanks

The interleave problem is where sometimes when opening files or arming a track for input monitoring, your track interleave is switched from stereo to mono.

The best case scenario is that you lose some depth and the volume shifts a little. The worst case, which happens to me quite often is that your plugins on the track freak the hell out and start spewing out noise 20 dB louder than you want. Specifically the Waves ren compressor and izotope nector seem to do this when the interleave if set to mono.
