Clone lyrics from one staff to another

I have a project with five tracks.  I inserted a lyric line into Track #1.  I want to take these lyrics from track 1 and copy them into each of the other tracks so that I can print each track as an individual choral part with lyrics included on each part.

I'm hoping there's a way to do this...??

That was the first thing I tried.  I did the copy, but couldn't do a paste.

I assume you mean paste in the staff view?  If so, please provide more detail on exactly how to do this;  I tried everything I could think of, but an opportunity to paste on the lyric line was never enabled.

He means paste in the Lyric view. In Lyric view you can choose the track that the lyrics are associated with. Copy the lyrics you want then in lyric view, click on Tracks then either "Next Track" until you get the one you want, or "Pick Track". Lyric view is just an editor for any MIDI track.

I see.  I was trying to paste into staff view.

However, now I have a new problem:  I was able to copy track 1's lyric to t2, but I can't go any farther than that.
btw, the lyric view is not very friendly- it doesn't tell you what track(s) you're looking at.  Also, to do a cut, copy,  or paste here you need to use the Ctrl+V, etc; those items in the edit menu are grayed out.  That seems rather strange...

Thanks for your help thus far, guys....I'll keep plugging away at it.

I agree it could use an update. However - it does show the track name - if you use the "next..." and "previous...." options to move forward or backward, the name of the track appears in the tab at the top - "Lyrics - xxxxxxxxx" where xxxxxx corresponds to the track name for example a soft synth.
For copy, paste etc options, right click, then you will have options for eg, copy or paste
