I can't say I feel sorry for him.  I don't really understand why anyone thinks "add ons" should be free.  bug fixes should be free, not add ons.

I don't think it was just the one post but that every post was the same old thing. He wanted PC modules to be free and was claiming that CW had removed his ability to make music.

I've had my ability to make music removed but it wasn't CW, just my incompetence. Perhaps FreeVision would have been a better name.

I just wish he would learn to spell and use proper sentence structure. He's a teacher? Sheesh. His skill with the english language should have been enough to get him banned.

I'm not sure English was his first language, in fact I'm sure it wasn't, so combined with the Firefox formatting I can see past that, but I still didn't get the nonsensical argument that he banged on about in every post.

yes, that's the way I feel about it.  I can look past gramatical and spelling errors, but constant whining about wanting it for free because it stopped him from making music without them was something I just don't understand.

What does it take you ask?

Moderators with a TOS that they can define and redefine any time
they feel like it....I can't answer you- BUT they have the right to do whatever
they feel so I don't have a problem with it.

I also don't have a problem with the ones that whine and/or have limited communication
    skills for whatever reason.

I don't understand his reasoning anymore than I understand why he was banned or
why Cake puts a little chubby guy icon representing the banned state. Glad it's all their
BS to sort out and not mine.

    Re:Coffee House Banned Question 2012/04/09 14:44:12 (permalink)
What about those of us who are Prevented from making music by our vast and limitless laziness?  Some of us might be competent, if we could bother to try (there's really no way to know for sure), but CW Forces us to expend some time and/or effort in order to record anything.  What's up with that?

In addition, the very idea that one can write/record a song, sell it, and receive some amount of money presumes that we are willing to go to all that effort.  Shouldn't the Bakers just make people pay us whether or not we actually record anything?

I'd prefer direct deposit, by the way.  I never get around to signing checks.

I also expect for Noel to come to my house to fetch my remote.  I shouldn't be coerced into getting up from my recliner to get it myself.

(On an unrelated topic, I really should find out if anyone has patented the Reclin-O-Potty...)

I would sign this note, but it's really too much work.  Fortunately for me, it's been mentally dictated to a telepathic chimp named, Gunter.  More accurately, Gunter is making this up for me, since I can't really be troubled with Thinking my own thoughts.  He's always whining about it, "Why should I have to pen your insipid drivel?  Must I labor in thankless obscure anonymity from this day hence?  Oh, how my soul languishes in bleak and utter despair!"

He's so lazy.  I hate that.

Cakewalk should provide us with hardworking telepathic chimps.

    For free...

Whether his arguments are valid or not, or whether anyone agrees with him or not, he has every right to feel aggrieved.

However, whether or not he can express his feelings on Cakewalk's forum or not, is completely up to Cakewalk.

What gets my goat is how he (and other dissenters) always seem to attract the same sarcastic asides from the same few snide members for expressing his opinion as a paying customer. They say the same thing again and again - rather ironic really as most of them are only there to point out that very same fault in their quarry.

I agree that it was probably the 'call to protest' thread that got him the ban, but I'm also pretty certain that if he had the literary skills (I'm also sure that English isn't his first language) to make his points more lucidly, he wouldn't attract the derision he (sometimes unfairly) receives.

What does it take? Sickvision? lack of vision? derision? from experience. I think it's tone, attitude, and a seemed lack of respect for the host of the forum. damn firefox.

I harbor no ill will towards any man.
