Coffee... big cup - little cup?
Every morning I have my pot of French press Cuban style Columbian coffee. Sometime my favorite mug is dirty and I just use a coffee cup... so it seems like I drink twice as much. Which is better? 1 Big mug? or 3 Small cups?

There is no such thing as a dirty coffee cup. The drippings in the bottom just add flavor to the next cup. Many years ago, in a radio contest, I won a "bottomless coffee cup" from a local radio station. The deal was, all the coffee you wanted, when you wanted it, for a whole year, at a certain convenient store chain. I also discovered that other chains would honor the cup as long as you were buying something else. I kept that cup in my truck...on the dashboard. I don't think it ever got washed. But every morning, on the way to work, I'd hit the corner store and fill-ur-up. Even now.... I rinse, shake it out, and set it beside the coffee maker, ready to go at a moments notice when the urge for a fresh pot hits me. As far as the question... One big or 3 smalls..... don't compromise.... 3 bigs of course.

I prefer a large ceramic cup. there's something different about drinking coffee from a large ceramic cup than drinking it from a cardboard "to go" cup or a plastic reusable one. I do drink out of all of the "mediums" - but my favorite is always a slow large cup in ceramic. ahhh

Tea or Coffee. If I'm making it has to be a standard mug sized mug. You cannot mess with all sorts of weird capacities when correct proportions are paramount.

Decaf: Eeeeeeeewwwwww....!!!! just kidding of course... Or am I? BTW, I just realized I've passed 1000 posts. It only took me 7 years!

When the cup is so big that the coffee gets cold before I can finish it, then the cup is too big. Whatever size that is.

Now we are getting somewhere. I actually enjoy cold coffee... and often throw and ice cube in it. Maybe that's why I like my big cup.

Here's the definitive answer on why No to the small cups...... You know when you get that perfect mix of cream and sugar in the coffee and you want it to go on forever even when it gets cold? Well, that can happen on your first cup and then the other two are just weak attempts at salvaging the experience. You've ruined it. ONE BIG CUP and you hope it gets cold because if you run out it's even sadder. :)

I miss coffee. Can only drink tea now. It stimulates the Vasus Nerve in my heart and makes me pass out. That happened a few times before the doctors figured it out. Stopped drinking, no more dizzy spells and wooziness.

I have my favorite big cup that reads "I see dumb people" @ middleman I always drank coffee, until i turned 25...i had a episode of super anxiety and palpitations in my heart. for the next 7 years if i even touched it, i would have a nasty panic attack that landed me in the hospital twice. they thought i was on cocaine. funny thing - i could drink coke, mt dew, t-bag tea, no ill effect. one day just this past year, i tried a small cup in the morning, nothing bad happened. slowly weaned my way back to half a pot in the morning. still no trouble...no anxiety / panic attacks, no heart jumping out of my chest. and no explanation.

Stopped drinking, no more dizzy spells and wooziness. That sucks Middleman. Sheesh. I switched to unleaded for a while because regular would make my heart race. My wife accidentally made me a pot of leaded one night and it didn't do anything so I switched back. Don't know what that was all about, but it was scary. My favorite cup is a big one I got while at the visitors center at Pikes Peak. :) It's ceramic, but made to look like one of those old green metal agate ones the miners used. It's short and wide. When I make a pot of coffee I usually make 6 cups and I fill the cup 2 1/2 times. Best coffee imo is still the 8 o'clock Bean Regular, and 8 o'clock Bean Hazlenut whole Bean, unground. Got a coffee pot with a whole bean grinder built in on sale at Wal-Mart for $40 bucks one time. Love it! Edit: Forgot to say, another thing I like to do is take fresh ground coffee and sprinkle on ice cream. omg. :)

Large ceramic mug here, and I drink my coffee black mostly, so no problems with leaving room for anything, except more coffee maybe. For some reason when I'm travelling, I'll tend to put in a huge amount of sugar and also some milk, especially if I just got off a plane.
