Sheesh. This would make three times I've purchased the same plugin. And Pro-C3 will be along soon after, I suspect.
I don't really need the new features, as none of them will let me do anything I can't do already. I'll probably still prefer MDynamicEQ for dynamic equalization due to its handy spectragram display. Still, I'm probably just one Dan Worrall sales pitch away from going for it.
Of course, FF can't hold a candle to the kings of re-purchases, iZotope and Native Instruments. I've bought Ozone 4 times and Kontakt 5 times so far, and although I'm holding off on Kontakt 6 I know from past experience that it's just a matter of time before they get me a sixth time. Ozone 8 is also likely, assuming they eventually make me a can't-refuse re-up offer. Like they've done with every previous version.
 All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

was mentioned on music radar.. on sale from 29th nov.. https://www.musicradar.com/news/fabfilter-pro-q-3-is-coming-and-you-dont-have-long-to-wait-for-it? as a vendor I like fabfilter, they just get on with it.. and are consistent with what they offer. I guess I'm like others, I'll just buy it without a lot of over thinking about it. it's not like it's super high prices vs other things I see either. Bit, funny you mention melda also.. I bought their lifetime bundle, so yer like fabfilter.. at the start neither were cheap. but I feel both do earn my money vs what they update etc. other vendors is too quick to discount and discontinue products or make upgrades not backward comp.. that affects my trust in them..

Think it depends on what you own, but it is at least 50% off to start. I have the Pro MB2 and The Pro Q2 and it seems to be about $89 for the upgrade.

james , the md/side per node and the spectrum s worth an upgrade (not a full purchase imho) , own sonnox here , it's trused and sounds pristne , but one thing with pro Q s that t's easy on cpu /// 'm tired of having to deal with some pluhgins like havin a piece of HW !! testing as write Taupe and El Rey , love them , sounds exeptionnal :::: at 96k not 44k so those two insterted and i barely have room for the rest of my plugins ::: with what i spend a year in plugin , i m starting to wonder if HW wouldn't be it and voila !! (an ssl fusion comes to mind to polish mixes and done!!)

I'm with Bitflipper on this one. Also, Q3 seems like a cash-grab, IMO. My upgrade price in my account is $85.92, which is stupid. In today's market, that's a whole new plugin. Q2 is good enough for me, because it's just a freakin' EQ at the end of the day, but damn good already.

Mine's £54.94 because I own the Compressor and Limiter and didn't upgrade those either. I'll pass on this one as well. I can't see me using any of the new features listed.
