Command Center Dead???

I've noticed the past several days, if I open the command center, nothing loads. Just a blank screen.
Did I miss something, is it no longer operable for Sonar Platinum? It's not a "must have" but I did like being able to go right to a project template.

It works for me but I have registered with Bandlab. Have you?

Yes, I registered with BandLab. Haven't downloaded/installed yet.
The orange progress bar doesn't move like it used to. (and took forever, i might add!)

There were times when downloads through the Command center took a long time for me. When that happened, I downloaded the files from my account and put them in the Command Center download folder, then ran the Command Center to install. The Command Center checks its download folder before downloading. If the files are there, the Command Center will use them instead of downloading the files again. The default download path is C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads. The actual download path is on the path tab on the Command Center setup screen. Click the gear in the upper right on the Command Center UI for the setup screen.

Works fine here.

I am sure if CCC was canned, we would be notified by some means. They would not just can it without letting us know.

Hi Randy,
I am afraid you are not getting any tangible solutions here.
Bottom Line.............I think its fair to assume CCC is indeed humming sweetly....... at its end of town.
I feel justified in coming to this conclusion on the basis that I reside at what you guys in the northern hemisphere might possibly perceive as the Bottom Of The World , down here in Australia.
PS: Us Aussies  ( and many of our brethren in New Zealand) reckon everything is blinken upside down and that you guys are at the bottom..........But that's another thread for later perhaps.
YES....................CCC is still working magnificently Downunder...................sorry to break this news to you.
If it is working OK here..............Wellllllllll.......................we can easily assume even MARS is getting a solid signal !!
I can only / respectfully suggest checking closer to home for a solution.
Cheers.....Frank

CCC has absolutely nothing to do with BL.  Registering with BL is not in any way, shape or form a requirement for CCC to continue working.  They are completely agnostic of each other.

Funny nobody caught this, To me this implys the OP is talking about the START SCREEN not CCC.

Oh!  Good catch, Cactus.

The solution could be as simple as this....open Cakewalk...go to Edit / Preferences.  Make sure the Advanced Radio button on the bottom is selected.  Then on the left, go to File Advanced and make sure Show Start Screen is selected.

Re: Command Center Dead??? 2018/04/17 21:54:40 (permalink)
Please excuse me if I didn't convey this well. I'm not sure if some consider this a Start Screen or CCC, but when I initialize the command center shortcut, it opens the initial screen, but nothing loads. Blank screen. I can't click on the settings button, nothing. I even tried going straight to the command center.exe to launch, but same result. It must be something hanging the executable file. I did move all of my Sonar files to a new external drive (upon news of the cakewalk crash!) So maybe it can't find the files. I was going to point ccc to the new location, but can't access settings.
Anyway, Sonar runs fine (I have a direct shortcut to Platinum) and there is really no need for the command center anymore. I just liked having my templates available on the start screen.
Thanks for all the suggestions

Just for future reference, Command Center (or CCC), is the separate program that checks for updates to all the software and allows you to install it.  It is NOT a requirement to use the software, it is just a convenience.

Start Screen is what you are referring to, and yes, if you moved files around, that is likely what broke it.
