Command Center Download Test and Recovery - Resilience
Currently, if the connection to download an update is interrupted by connectivity failures, the downloaded content still can be errored out as corrupt, and the download simply freezes and never recovers. The only work around is to manually refresh the Command Center's view of your system, or restart it. Unfortunately, though, it will sit indefinitely stuck on a % and never recover (at least in my case).
Command Center needs a better 'supervisor' to occasionally (120 seconds) test the connection, using ICMP or another secured protocol, while downloading files to ensure the connection didn't fail. Also, if the connection does fail Command Center can escalate the testing on the connection, perhaps finding a backup IP address for the hosted code. When/if the connection recovers, Command Center will see this and trigger a re-fresh of the download, continuing, much as torrent will.
