Command Center Question: offline installs

So far I have only updated Sonar via CCC online, hence I am not sure if can simply take downloaded files from the DAW, which is online, copied it over to the offline DAW and install manually ...

Will CCC still recognize the latest (manually) installed versions later on?
Will Sonar remain authorized when doing these offline installs or will I start to see some Demo mode?

Hi. You can use your downloaded installers and install SONAR elsewhere.
You might have to do an offline authorization after installing, IIRC.
    All the best.

I keep Sonar updated on the StudioCat manually all the time.
    No "demo" issues at all.
I do bring it into the office periodically to update Windows, NI, etc.
No issues with the CCC when I do put the Cat online.

    Hi Rob.

You can use the installers downloaded by ccc or get them from your account  page - they are the same.

Yes - CCC will recognise manually installed updates.

Once you have authorised your offline machine you will not see demo mode wth updates.

    Bruce.

There was a bug in Sonar that caused it to go into demo mode if offline for a period of time, I don't know if its been fixed. It could sometimes be worked around by hacking the registry and manually re-entering licensing information.

However, in principle all the files you need are in the folder location specified in Command Center and can manually be installed from there without an issue.

I have faster speeds at  my work place so I download the updates and then drop them into cakewalk command  folder which recognizes them ready to be installed when I do an update on a particular  program.
