Command Center Says I've got "No Registered Products"

Hello,
I've bought a new PC, and re-installed my Sonar X1 producer, and Sonar X3 Basic.
Everything is working fine.

Then I became aware of the product called "Command Center", so I installed it.
The problem is, it says I've not no registered products. The app is logged in OK, so this prompts a question or 2.

  • Is Command Center only for new products?... (my 2 Sonar's were purchased when they were the latest at the time).
  • Why do I need Command Center?
TIA.

Legacy installers do not appear in the Command Center. Even with new products, using the Command Center is optional.

Command Center was introduced to serve as a type of application umbrella for Cakewalk products.

It is not required to be used, and some folks indeed have chosen to manually install things.

When I began using it, I had already installed all kinds of Cakewalk products (Sonar, Dim Pro, Rapture, various ProChannel modules, etc.), but to have Command Center handle all future Cakewalk product maintenance for me, I invested a few hours to install it all again using the Command Center.  YES YES YES that took several hours, and was just driving me nuts til it finished.

The GOOD NEWS from the above is that once I had brought everything under the Command Center's care, my Cakewalk product maintenance is REALLY super simple.  I just launch Command Center and it checks for updates to everything that is installed, and then I can either wait on a given update, or tell it to go ahead and do the updates - OR even select a prior version of Sonar to have it do a Rollback to that prior version.

I happen to really like the Cakewalk Command Center - once I got past that initial installation of all that stuff that had already been installed.
