Command Center Slow Downloads

Running the CC for updates takes forever even small file sizes takes a unreasonable amount of time to download. Forget a large file or files it takes hours to complete. My speeds are pretty fast Speed test results Download speed 82.82 Mbps and upload speed 90.74 Mbps so what is the issue. Is this a common problem or is it the program? Any suggestion would really help.

    Hi
    Yes indeed.

    Same for me.
It's very slow to download any software, and there's some error after downloading the softwares.

    I think at :

    • Kick Start Expansion Pack
    • D-Pro

There are a lot of us who only took 20 minutes for DPro. Not too bad IMO.

    For D-pro maybe.
Kick Start Expansion Pack returns an error during download.
Command center detects an 'update not completed' on each software and you must to do it again, and then the download begins to start.

It's current for me to download at 800 kbps and up to 900 Kbps

The problem is came when the new command center version has been used.

I have got "update not completed" for near all packages in Sonar. As a consequence, "update all" has produced no effect. Going one by one with "reinstall" solve the problem.
I can not remember I have cleaned downloads, but may be I did and that is the reason.

What is still really annoying are the colours. I do not see the difference between "up to date" and "can be updated". I have to click one by one to find that. That was reported at the day one, it is so easy to fix, but that was not done.

So, from all changes I only see "not scan everything after one package installation" bug is fixed. "Update all" is not working for me, "update not completed" is a new bug/feature, colors are the same (unusable for me), I still have to start it 2 times till it really starts (I think that is my personal problem).

Update all probably won't work efficiently until you've installed all the packages released before Platinum F update (shark thingy).

I was not able to "update" any single package in the Sonar folder, inclusive Sonar itself. Since Sonar has no "Reinstall" option, I had to "revert" to older version and than to the latest. So, now I have everything up to date and I hope I do not have to do this again. I have slow connection, "baby sitting" an update a half of the day is annoying...

Excrutiating indeed....... I've sat patiently watching my high speed optical broadband creep from 5.5% up to 5.72% over the last 30 minutes.
I have a full re-installation of Sonar Platinum ahead of me to try and resolve a VST3 problem that Cakewalk Support have not responded to for over 2 weeks.
I'd have hoped for better having just subscribed to lifetime updates.
    Shame.

Same dreadful performance here. Command Center 1.1.6.2 installation is unbelievably slow, even once the download completes. Looking at my system with Resource Monitor, there's been no disk activity, no network activity, no CPU activity worth mentioning but it was stuck at "Extracting files..." on the locale .pak files for tens of minutes. Can't understand what is causing it to take so long on an 8-core i7 with 20GB RAM. Have not encountered this before with previous Sonar updates.

I am having similar issues.  Downloads freeze at anywhere from 20 to 80%.  It is sad.  I have no trouble downloading from any other site.  Addictive Drums was like lightning on their downloads.  This is a major pain.  Platinum Instrument Collection, Sample Magic, Sound Center, Sonar Tutorials, and D-Pro all freezing.  I assume it is a server issue.  What ever it is it is ridiculous.  I have been trying to download this stuff for a month.  This is not like the car buying commercial that says "that didn't suck". because this really does suck.......

I have not experienced any issues with downloads for quite some time. In your case, it might be faster to use a download manager with the files in your store account. Then copy the files into the Command Center download folder. The Command Center will use the files if they are already in the download folder.

I installed Sonar Platinum fresh today on a 3-month old Win 10 x64 machine with nothing else on it. Everything went great until the last download, 'D-Pro'. It's been stuck saying 'Installing D-Pro' for several hours now. If I exit Command Centre and restart Command Centre, will it pick up where it left off? Or is this inadvisable? I'm new to this Command Centre stuff and I'm not very computer literate in general! Any advice is appreciated as I'm afraid to touch anything until this is done unless of course the machine starts smoking! Oh, and my internet's never had an issue. I'm thinking this is on the server end? Thanks.

Mine was slooowwwww too. I got it a day or two ago (whenever it was released) and it took like 15 minutes just to check to see what needed to be updated. Luckily, I just had to download the core update. While the one file wasn't too bad, it was still slower than normal.

I upgraded to Platinum in August (you know, when the 'lifetime updates' sale was supposed to end? Yea. That's another story...). but I don't believe I have had one single item actually updated via the Command Center. Not only does everything download at a snails pace, but they just seem to stop at some point in the download, and it never restarts. I end up closing CC (because there doesn't seem to be a 'cancel' option), and reloading the program. And it doesn't pick up from where it stopped downloading either; it has to restart the download from scratch... And find a new point to stop downloading again.
I'm really not seeing a practical side to even having the CC, other than it tells you what programs have updates available. Is this a fixable problem?

It is indeed slower with every update and the transfer is ocasionaly interrupted, which never happened before October.  I dont blame CC, might be coincidence.

Windows 10/64, Intel i7 Xeon X6575 3,07GHz, 24Gb RAM, chipset: Intel X58 Express, Kingston SSD 240Gb,  Sonar Platinum , Edirol UA-25.  (Some extra VSTs: PSP almost all/  IK - AT4, ST3, / AAS - all/ TH3 full/ +10dB/ Melodyne Editor). EVE sc205 monitors, Defil Kosmos guitar, blue lava lamp, ashtray.  And there is some great music you may find at: https://soundcloud.com/pawel-jan-1

So has anyone figured out a way to get passed this slowing downloading from command center? I'm downloading sonar home studio and today makes day 3 of downloading to just 54% my download speed is around 90 mbps. I have never had any problems even downloading huge games such as Arma 3. but with this command center it just chokes and seems like it is barely downloading. is it possible to restart the download and see if that helps? because at this rate it will be over a week before the download is done. I got drums to record!

Same here. Downloading is extremely and has failed multiple times trying to install the software from Command Center. Anyone know why or how they are going to fix this? I am showing about 0.25% of network capacity for its dowload.
