Command Center and installation
Hey there - I am doing a clean install with new hard drives and trying to figure out how to custom install paths. I searched the forums and there's reference to Verbose Mode, however I can't seem to find how to access verbose mode. Can someone dumb this down for me as I am fried and getting no where... 1) Where is "Verbose Mode" so I can custom paths for instal? 2) If I use the command center to do updates will it find these custom paths?
Thank you

In command center, under the settings, you can change all the paths. That's the only way I know how to do it.

Hi, As above. Click the 'cog' icon at the top right of the Command Center window to open the settings panel then open the 'Paths' tab and change the 'Download Path' and 'Content Path' settings as required. These will become the default paths for additional downloads.

Until the session is reset. Logging out and back into the Command Center resets the program back to its defaults. This is why I prefer directory junctions. The remain the until I change them.

But then, Command Center never did work for some of us, so we did it the old fashioned way and went to the site.

I'm talking about install paths for the software itself, audio files, etc... Like installing Sonar on a D drive, a separate drive for audio and one for lops/instruments?
THe settings are very limited on the command center and when I was googling this I kep finding mention of "verbose mode" but no description of how to access those options. Is it just on manual install? And if so, does that mean I can't use the command center for updates?

Here's an example: I downloaded and trying to install from Setup. I get the prompt for Content (audio, midi loops, templates) and it gives me only one option. What if I store all my midi loops somewhere else other than my audio drive? Which is what I have always done - where's the options for this on install?

Verbose mode displays the sames prompts as running the installers from the command line. RevBob Here's an example: I downloaded and trying to install from Setup. The installers treat all content the same. If you don't, it is up to you to handle it after install or set up directory junctions in advance.
