Command Centre Download Path

The download folder I selected in Command Centre has over 1gb of setup files from the monthly updates. (I made an error in my previous post, sorry!)
My questions are;
# Can I delete these folders/files when I have installed the updates?
# Is there a way that Command Centre can recognise the things I already have installed, if I didn't install them from Command Centre?
Thanks in advance.

    Edit:  I stand corrected.  Sorry, I should have said I've done manual downloads, and CC recognized them once they were in the correct folder.  ( I said "installs" previously, which was not what I meant and probably not correct).  Again, see the thread above.

    I don't know about deleting files for things already installed, but I do not not believe Command Center has any way to detect things being in place, if it didn't do the installations.

    I went into the settings (top right of the Command Center UI), and I changed the download path to be on a different larger drive than its default of the C: drive.  I have a Solid-State drive for my C: drive, so I try to keep all downloads and anything other than Windows and applications on it.
