Command to undo a MIDI fade-out?
I have a few MIDI sequences that fades out gradually, and I'd like to undo it in bulk as opposed to dealing with a ton of individual notes.

The event inspector can set the velocity of selected notes.

Look at the fade in the event viewer, it's probably an expression controller. Once you know what it is, select the midi track(s) then from the Clips menu, select 'Convert MIDI Controllers to Envelopes'. Once you've done that you can go through and delete the envelopes you don't want.

Is it velocity change or controller (it might be CC7 or CC11)?

OK I am looking at the Event List, and the only non-notes I see are the occasional "Hold" commands throughout the tune. The fade starts around measure 100.

I found the "Convert Midi to envelopes" command, and I looked down the list, and I wasn't sure what would happen if I said "OK" so I didn't bother doing it. I guess I need to know what happens to the track and what exactly I'm looking for.

When doing something new consider working on a copy of the project and remember CTRL-Z can undo many operations.

In the event list there is an unmarked column which seems to be velocity as the numbers decrease for notes late in the list. I /could/ edit that I suppose, but what a PITA. I converted the midi clips to envelopes, but I don't know what I'm looking for. I saw one called Volume (PART 3) but how do I know where Part 3 begins or if that's even the right command?

That video was very cool but did not address my issue. It's a very gradual fade. I could use the Event Inspector to make 'em all the same velocity value, but that won't help. Yes it'll eliminate the fade, but it won't be musical. OR I could select notes, use the modifier and bump them up relative to each other, but the problem is, I'll have to track the fade, and do that for each decrement in velocity. How would one put IN a MIDI fade? Then I could reverse it? I think it has something to do with the envelopes thingie but I'm just not sure what I'm looking for, what command is performing that act.

I watched the automation video, it's all about nodes and lanes and things that right now are meaningless to me (down the road I'm sure I'll take advantage of them). I saw a bunch of vids I want to watch and that's fantastic, and I will watch them. Is there some menu I can get to that says "Volume decrease here (either measures and beats or min and sec) " I see in the event list what appears to be decreasing velocities (the column is not labeled but it's gotta be that). There's a controller command that says "HOLD". There are a number of envelopes in that list. Wouldn't there be one that says "Volume Decrease" or "Volume Increase"? What am I looking for? I haven't done a proper job in illustrating my problem, and I apologize for that. I guess I want to know how to remove a fade out that's in all three MIDI tracks. I've been searching google in addition to here. I'm missing something, probably some basic MIDI premise, but I don't know what it is.
