Comp Clip Lock? - Duh! Answered.

I was working with the comp functions today and used the flatten command to bounce selected sections to a single clip.  I noticed Sonar placed an icon I'm not familiar with at the front of the clip.  I also noticed that I can now not edit that clip.  I tried to split off the end to delete unwanted noise but the split tool just doesn't work on that clip. 
 
How do I remove the "lock" and edit the clip?

I'm guessing you are on X3 despite your sig and I can only speculate but if you select the clip and right click is there not a "Lock/unlock" option? How about selecting the clip, pressing I to open the inspector and looking under the Clips tab?
