Many of the shortcuts are to be found in the body of the help file and because they don't correspond to specific Sonar View, are not included in the Tables of keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks for all the tips. I am down to needing one shortcut I have not been able to find - go to next clip/go to previous clip. How do I do that from the keyboard assuming I have no markers - the way I work markers would be too much work. Thanks in advance if anybody knows how I would do that.

Scott, Thanks for the book. Great resource. Please note I sent an email to the contact info you have on your Web site - * - and got a bounceback. And if you have in your secret stash of knowledge a way to jump to the next/previous clip in a track using the keyboard/keyboard shortcut I would definitely like to know what it is. Ditto for how to delete all clips from a point forward or backward in a track other than my laborious way. Thanks in advance for your attention to this. * email address removed at owners request - scook

Hi Peter, Can you please remove my email address from your previous post? I don't want it posted online, which is why I use a contact form on my site. I'm not sure why your message bounced. I know my email is working okay here. You can use Ctrl + PgUp or PgDn to move by measure but not by clip. For deleting multiple measures, select the first clip with the mouse. Hold Shift and select the last clip (by clicking in the bottom right or left corner of the clip, depending on which way your deleting in the track). I'm assuming you have Snap to Grid activated and set to one of the larger resolutions so the entire last clip is selected when you click. Then press the Delete key on your PC keyboard (or use one of the Edit > Delete options from the menu). I forgot to mention... SONAR also has a keyboard editing mode, which may be what you're looking for... check out this info on the Cakewalk site... http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=Arranging.52.html Scott PS. Sorry about the email address business. And thanks as well to Scook for removal. Also sorry that there is not a means to simply 'tab' forward/backward to clips in Sonar. Down in the guts of the program there must be a list of all clips and their location within the track as that info is used in other ways. I would definitely appreciate it being added to a future version of Sonar. is there a way I can automatically make all beginning and end points of clips 'markers' by default so I do not have to do it one-by-one - so some kind of default global setting so whenever I create a clip/move/change length of a clip, the beginning and end time of the clip will be transformed into 'markers' without me having to set/reset them each time I create, move or change the length of a clip? And if not possible, would it make a difference if the clip was a groove clip - is there a way to 'tab' backwards and forwards between groove clips? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

This isn't perfect, but if you click anywhere within a clip and hit Shift + g the Now Time will position itself at the beginning of that clip, so it's one extra keystroke.
