a guy named grumbleweed is grumbling. Awesome! Maybe they are waiting for a couple more patches before finishing the review?

I like to grumble . I just like to see what they have to say before giving 9 out of 10. They managed to make all of the features of X1 (or was it X2?) work in their review even though nobody else could so they don't need patches. Grum.

Maybe I'm just cynical but CM reviews always seem like they just hired an intern to reword the company's press release. They always rank Sonar highly yet they offer very little Sonar support. It always came off to me as them not wantign to step on any toes but clearly having obvious preferences.

I'll quote this so you can't back out of it! I'll keep the "just kidding" though - I'm not cruel . I'd give it 9 out of 10. It's working pretty good on my system - I'm pretty confident that if I had a different audio interface (or drivers?) it would be 9.5/10. Grum.

It's all about Live and Logic in their world. Sonar is a bit player but too well spec'ed to be ignored. (IMHO) Grum

If my video driver did not cause such weirdness I would easily go 9.5 out of 10 too. I am loathing Nvidia right now

I was going say I have no problem with my video driver but having remembered that it has stopped working a couple of times and then corrected itself I have to revise my opinion. I've never had problems in the past, I'm thinking Windows 8 may be involved. Grum.

My issue is a known issue with nvidia cards of my series. it causes horrible dpc latency. it's bearable most of the time but limits live performance. oddly it affects sonar but not my other programs so much.

I'm pretty cynical too. I've not yet read a bad review in any audio magazine it seems. It's like when Homer became a restaurant critic and gave an eatery his "...lowest rating yet. Eight thumbs up".

LOL We support the mag because we buy them. They are supported by advertizers because we buy them. We, until the net made purchasing or "to demo" decisions based on reviews. A great review may get some advertizing dollars in from the company whose product was subject to the review. And if you are Roland or TASCAM or GIBSON and have a new product out whose gonna write something bad aboutcha? And like Homer whose is going to give you the lowest score of 8 thumbs up! LOL I am not saying to stop buying Audio Mags.

I really hope I speak for the bulk of the Sonar Community when I express this sentiment... I heard about the review coming in October and ... Oh, wait ... Wrong thread! Cheers, jayson
