Computer Says There are no audio devices for you current driver HELP?
well I hooked my midi keayboard up and cant get it to work. It says There are no audio devices for your current driver model on your system. Please go to options/audio and choose a different driver model. I press ok, go to options / audio and under playback timing master it says none under record timing master it doesnt give me an option to select anything. when I click on drivers there are none to select. maybe yoall coyld help. I am using Asio as always did. also, under midi devices I selected Edirol 1 and fasttrack pro for input and 3-edirol pcr and fast track pro for output. might have screwed that up too. ttys

Hi, Kevin. You've got a new computer? Can you list your system specs and OS, and what the keyboard is? Edirol PCR is a keyboard? Is that ASIO4All or true M-Audio ASIO drivers? Was it working yesterday? Switch the driver mode to WDM and run the Wave Profiler again. It looks like something really messed with your settings, maybe an update to one of your other programs...

Sometimes the cards inside the computer can get bumped around during transit just enough for it to not make a solid connection to the board. If the computer doesn't see your soundcard, try reseating it if it is a pci card. If you are using a usb/firewire sound card, make sure that the cable is connect to the same port you had previously used.

ah, sorry I missed that in your initial post, but you did have it there! ok - if you're not in ASIO driver mode, change to ASIO and that should fix it. it's pickikng up your onboard soundcard in WDM mode.

ok, here is what I tried so far. I switched the driver to wdm. It only allowed me to set at 16bits. It allowed me to select the playback and recording timing master to fast track pro. I press play and it plays back the song for a few seconds and goes to blue screen, then restarts. I did this about 5 times. each time it goes to bluescreen and restarts. Then I switched to asio again and it says There are no audio devices for your current driver model on your system. Please go to options/audio and choose a different driver model. I click options and audio and for playback timing master the only selection is none and no selection for record timing master. there are no selections for input or output drivers either

I'd disconnect externals and check the PC first for basic operations, including playing Audio (Media Player), Video, check internet, and so forth. Then hook externals, as much as possible connecting one by one, and checking each step. I'd also do a system restore to a day or so before the move.

that isn't necessary nokey. the error message he got is a known problem with MC4. that's why I told him to follow the instructions on the link I provided. that will fix that particular error.

Ok, I followed the direction on the link and I am now switched back to asio. thanks, the only option it gives me for playback timing master is none and no options for record timing master. under input and out drivers it is blank. nothing to select at all. under general I cant do anything to the bit depth either. its set at 16 and doesnt allow me to click on it.

Switch back to WDM driver mode and run the wave profiler again, with the Fast Track connected and on. The reason you need to switch to WDM or MME to run the wave profiler is because in ASIO mode, the wave profiler button is replaced by the ASIO Panel button. Then close and re-open MC. See what happens...

ok, I switched back to wdm and ran the wave profiler, then I switched it to asio and closed it. when I reopened it, it was back to the same problem with no driver or audio output

wave profiler said audio profiler has been successfully profiled. then it says ok up to 48000Hz. 88200 Hz and up says unavailable.

It also makes a real angry noise when I switch to asio. then it says TBIA, then there is a big red x and it says access is denied.
