Concrete Limiter
Hi folks Don't know if I'm missing something here but I can't see the Concrete Limiter in Pro Channel! Under Preferences I've ticked 'Scan for VST Plugins on Startup' but it just ain't there! When I click the + sign at the top of the channel I see: Breverb 2; Console Emulator Bus; Console Emulator Channel; Saturation Knob; and FX Chain. But no Concrete Limiter unfortunately. Someone put me out of my misery please :-( It really looks like it hasn't installed for some reason. Thanks YC

I know its a daft question but have you purchased it as a add on to Sonar? Cheers Steve.

Nah it's not a daft question Steve. The answer's no but I assumed - perhaps naively - that it comes bundled with X2 Producer. Now you're going to tell me that it isn't aren't you? :-) YC

No, sorry, it isn't. There are extra modules that can be purchased. They are:- -Concrete Limiter -PC2a Leveling Amp -PC4K Channel Comp -PC4K Expander/Gate - sometimes the Softube bundle. They are all worth getting, especially the first two. I love them. Sorry that they're not included...

BTW YC, whilst on the subject I highly recommend it as a purchase as well as the PC2a. The Concrete Limiter isn't as "clean" as say the Waves L1, L2 etc, but it also doesn't cost anywhere near as much and it's a big improvement over Boost 11. Works great for me on buses and such.

And I strongly recommend the PC2a. I use it on all sorts of things, but LOVE it on vocals. It's my favorite of the extra modules, with the CL a close second. Having said that, I'm using the 4K Expander/Gate more and more.

My must have modules are also PC2A, Concrete limiter, and expander/gate. I like the PC2A as much as the UAD LA2 that I never use anymore. And for what I use it for, track or buss limiter, I prefer the concrete limiter over Waves L1 or L2. I let the WUP expire on L1 in November. CW has it covered

Its one of the best Pro Channel offerings to date and the bass switch is invaluable...kind of the opposite if the high bias pot on the LA2A. Allows for recapture of the low frequency content without excessive ducking of the program material.

I still need to spend some more time with the PC4K Channel compressor, I've just not sussed it fully yet. Since the PC Modules came out, I'm not looking elsewhere for plugs, I like these SO much.

YC from time to time they go on sale. I purchased all the extra Pro channel plugs when they were on sale. I just used that 20.00 coupon to buy the expander gate which I am finding very useful. Timing is everything. I was even able to get Zeta 2 for 29 bucks lets see what the specials for January will be before you purchase at full price. The last bunch Christmas specials left me broke. Way to many deals.

Concrete Limiter is my "secret weapon" for drum subgroups. Except I guess it's not a secret any more... And totally agree about PC2a for vocals.
