Conflicts using 32bit plugs with 64bit OS

Near the end of this video the engineer explains how 32bit plugs can cause weird symptoms even in the DUI...

Question: Im currently using "transpose" in Sonar to create vocal harmonys. The parts sound "chip-monk" and have to be hidden with reverb. Will MELODYNE give me "real" sound transposed vocals? If so, which version will be adaquate for vocals. The price ranges vary quite a bit.

Thanks,
Jeff

I use the melodyne "editor" plugin to create vocal harmonys. It sounds create and very real. It is also good that the result is not fixed. The harmonys can be changed even weeks later.

Will the cheaper Melodyne "essential" do the same thing on vocals.  Half the price.  I will download the demos. But trying to speed things up a bit, by inquiring from Melodyne users.
    Thanks,

I own Melodyne editor as well.  Don't know much about the "essential" product.  However, making full harmonies with Melodyne is pretty simple and realistic.

I don't think you will go wrong using it.

Why not give V-Vocal a spin, since you alrady have SONAR? You need control over speed + formant + other tidbits to avoid the effects of simply stretching/compressing the audio... V-Vocal has those features.

I use melodyne essential and have to say its perfect for just nudging a vocal, or indeed part of a vocal into the correct pitch, without sounding processed at all. Also, once you download the product, you buy the license keys so you can start with essential and if you feel you need more controll just upgrade.
