You plug your HD 500 into the UX8 which is plugged into your computer. There is a volume on your UX8 and on your HD 500. Adjust those to get a good signal to record with. I assume your monitors are hooked up to the UX8. Do you have Pod farm open while your recording. Can you adjust it in there? Are you just using a tone from the HD 500?
Why not plug the HD500 directly in and record directly from the HD 500. Why go through the UX8 for guitar parts? Why not open up Pod farm to get a tone for recording and reamp later? Keep in mind you will always hear your guitar through your system. It will be constant because it is a live feed. If it is to loud turn down the volume on the HD500.
