Console View + selected track view?

Can the console view be customized to show the currently selected track at the top of the screen?  If you select a different track the view at the top would change with it.

Yes it can but it's probably better set up as a separate screenset. To do it............

    1. Have the track view visible and hide the buss pane.
    2. Open the CV by pressing Alt+2 - You should now have a CV in a small Multidock window.
    3. Open up the top track in the TV to the height that you want to work with. EDIT:It's better to set all tracks to the same height, Select all and hold the SHift key while sizing one and the rest will follow.
    4. Drag the top of the Multidock up until it just leaves the one track exposed.
    5. Now when you click on a track in the CV, that track will show above the CV.

The CV can be hidden and shown by pressing 'D' but as I said earlier it's probably better set up as a separate screenset and called up as needed. Yet another use for screensets...... I love 'em.

This works great.  can you cause the TV to be maximized to whatever space you leave for it?

    Try the following.

    1. Set the console to the size you want it then press D to minimize it
    2. Select all tracks in the TV - (Ctrl+A)
    3. Press D - restores the CV
    4. Double click the visible tracks 'type' icon in the header.

I think you'll need to do this once for each track. I don't think there's a way to get them all to auto fit using the maximise function.

You could just hold shift and drag one out to fit. That will do them all together.

Good news is once you've done it the once that is set and you won't need to do it again. Leave that as a separate screenset and you can call it back with one keypress when you need it. Screensets are the secret to fast workflow in X1.

It's effectively the same as the previous method but filling the track to the gap rather than the CV to the track size.
