I never use the Pro Channel panel for midi tracks. It looks to have some really interesting stuff, I guess the arp is the big feature. Does anyone else want to see some e-zine content on using this bit of Sonar? That may not be the right way to do things but I'd certainly keep a file if tricks and tips made their way into the monthly package.

Regards, John

Not a big deal ... but the Arp is actually in the Inspector (of which ProChannel is a separate tab) - see:

Tips and tricks through whatever means (including the eZine) is good. Don't forget the Techniques forum and Anderton's sticky note.

Thanks very much, I think you know I consider feedback on what people want me to do as extremely helpful. Otherwise I just contribute what's useful to me personally, then listen to people complain it's not what they wanted

I wrote an article for Keyboard recently called "The Care and Feeding of Arpeggiators." I think it's exactly what you want, as it includes a bunch of interesting applications based around them. I'm not sure when the article will appear but probably in the August issue...hmmm, it might even be out now.

That doesn't rule out doing something SONAR-specific in the future, but for now I kind of blew all my arpeggiator tips in that article.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Thanks Craig, I'll look for that article. To me, getting new stuff every month isn't a high priority and I feel that being shown how to get more from what I have is even more valuable. There's so much going on with Sonar, that I'll never know what the features are that I should be using.

Perhaps this will be baked into the new CCC.
