Contest entry: LIGHTS! - would like feedback

Different tune. How does this remix work? Doesn't matter. The first couple measures I was, ahhhh, so, so, and then as I listened I really got into it. Sometimes the vocals were back a bit too much (imo) and sometimes plenty out front. The good news is that you kept me through the whole song. Great job!!

Thanks evadianepug. I have struggled to fix the vocal mix levels and cannot seem to get it right -- something i'll need to figure out another day since the contest deadline is today. Appreciate your feedback. Just for background on remix opportunities in general, you may want to check out Indaba.com. They regularly host remix contests wherein an established artist (Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel are two recent examples) supply vocal and instrument sample 'stems' for Indaba members to build new versions of the song. Kinda cool. There are some very wild variations on the same stems -- really stretches the mind. Love your Chesterton quote, btw. thanks again -- cw
