Context sensitive help?

What's with clicking help, or hitting F1 and then having to search through an online manual(after picking our language preference for the 12th time today) to find what we are looking for. How complicated it can it be for help on on AudioSnap to come up if it has the focus when I click F1? And for the love of whatever you guys find holy, cookie my language preference already.

That's the way help works here. If a view has focus and I hit F1, that's the topic that shows up in help. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few exceptions, but it seems to work for most of the views.

You mean it's launching the internet version? Go to Preferences > Advanced (I think*) then uncheck the Always Use Online Help box.

*I don't have my DAW on and I should know this by now but I'm pretty sure that's the sub-menu. If not just poke around until you find it and my apologies for not being more accurate.

    Cheers.

Ah, just noticed you're not using English, so that must be the problem for you. Maybe no context help for non-English.

And I find F1 doesn't always work with everything. If not just look around for a help button on the Plug's GUI. I've found a few plugs with a Help button that F1 doesn't work on. IDK what's up with that.

    Cheers.

Good one Beep, I don't use the online version of help, so that explains that.

Yeah, it's one of the first things I had to figure out. It's a little annoying that online help is the default but I guess that's to get people to the most up to date version (and yes there is a difference between the initial manual and the current online version).

As far as the cookies if you clear your cache or you computer does it automagically when you shut down your system that's why. Or you may have cookies blocked in your browser OR you have add ons like NoScript blocking them.

Just tossing out ideas. I know the pain of not being able to access the manuals. Drives me nuts when that happens.

    Cheers.

I live in the south, but I''m not from here, so yeah, I speak English :)

    Uncheck online help. Done.

    Thanks guys.
